The purpose of this presentation is to discuss business intelligence (BI) and its applications in project management. Our speaker will talk about how business intelligence may help project managers make portfolio execution decisions based on personal experiences. Many BI systems aim to improve project management, engineering, vendor document review status, and construction management knowledge and decision-making. Project managers can assess performance by combining data from several projects and portfolios to provide insights that might help them make more informed decisions. The talk will also cover how data analysis techniques such as time series analysis, regression analysis, and what-if analysis may help in decision-making. Finally our speaker will discuss "culture" and how project managers may encourage a "self-BI" mindset and attitude at work.

Speaker Profile
Sanjeev Soni has over 30 years of experience in Greenfield and Brownfield Offshore Project Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning. He also worked as a project engineering manager in the oil and gas industry, encompassing erection, commissioning, troubleshooting, and production of offshore (fixed/floating) platforms and onshore chemical plants. He has extensive experience in 3D Design (PDMS), engineering software implementations, converting engineering processes to software, and the adoption of Lean Processes and Agile Methodologies, in addition to project and engineering management skills. He has been working in the Business Intelligence (BI) field for the past 6 years, focusing on Workflow Automation, Integrations, Data Warehousing, IOT, Machine Learning-OCR, AI, Self BI, Data Insights, Digital Twin, and Transformations. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
