Managing Projects in Thai Banks: Lessons Learned for Project Managers

Projects have successes and failures at different points during the project lifecycle; however, a one of the key success factors to a project is learning from past successes and failures, and putting those lessons learned into action. Proper documentation and analysis of lessons learned can lead to greater insights and higher value for future successes. Moreover, learning from other highly experienced peers and colleagues can help ‘save’ troubled projects. Our presentation this month will cover practical lessons learned from various areas in project management in Thailand, primarily from a foreigner’s perspective.

Ramachandran Rajagopal currently works as the Head of Service Delivery and Projects at Accellence (Thailand). He has 20+ years of work experience in program and project management, infrastructure services and business consulting in a range of industry sectors including High-Tech, Semiconductors, Banking, Media and Construction. Mr. Ramachandran hands-on experience includes managing infrastructure operation at a global MNC, and handling services such as helpdesk, desktop, servers and database management for a 5 billion euro international client. He is also a partner at Srikrithi International, a social enterprise helping people live better lives.
