PMI Thailand Chapter Membership Information

Our Membership 

Since its launch in year 1999, the Project Management Institute Association Thailand Chapter has grown from 25 Chapter members to more than 350 members by March 2020.  The PMI Thailand Chapter is the only organization directly supporting project management professionals in Thailand. The Chapter Board of Directors is committed to providing members with a wide range of services and benefits to assist them in their career.

Benefits

A number of benefits are available exclusively to members of the PMI Thailand Chapter.

Discounted Meeting and Event Fees

PMI Thailand Chapter members receive a discount on the monthly meeting fees. Discounts also apply to other Chapter events, such as field trips, social events, seminars, or others.

Members’ Only Meetings

PMI Thailand Chapter members are eligible to attend exclusive “members only” meetings arranged annually by the Chapter.

Networking

Membership at the PMI Thailand  Chapter provides excellent opportunities to network with the Chapter’s 250+ members who all have a vested interest in the advancement and practice of project management in the Kingdom of Thailand. Our membership represents more than 60 companies in a variety of industries, such as banking, energy, engineering, construction, finance, information technology, retailing, and telecommunications, as well as Thai universities and government organizations.

Opportunity to Serve on the Board of Directors

PMI Thailand Chapter members may volunteer to be nominated for vacant Chapter board of directors positions. Serving on the board is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the Chapter and the development of project management in Thailand. Elected officers who are accredited with the CAPM or PMP certification can claim up to 10 PDUs per 12-month period they serve as board members, limited to a maximum of 20 PDUs per 3-year certification cycle.

Registration of PDUs

For PMI Thailand Chapter members who are accredited with the CAPM or PMP certification, the Chapter will handle the registration of PDUs earned by attending Chapter meetings and events with PMI.

Voting Rights

PMI Thailand Chapter members are eligible to cast their votes in the annual ballot for election of Chapter officers to serve on the Chapter board of directors.

To become a member of the PMI Thailand Chapter, you must first be a member in good standing with PMI.

Global membership dues are as follows:

Like many global organizations, PMI proactively assesses barriers to entry for our community members around the world using global economic data. By updating prices globally using this data, PMI can provide more equitable opportunities for professionals to learn project management skills. This is the first step in a long-term initiative to improve price parity for professionals.

To become a PMI Member, please visit the PMI Global membership website and determine the type of membership you belong to. Also, please make sure that you include that you wish to join the Thailand Chapter during the registration process.

PMI Thailand Chapter membership dues are USD 25 for regular members and USD 10 for students.
